My first week

So i have come to the end of my first week here in Canada and i survived but not without a great amount of support, help and love from some people.
I know i have said it before and will probably say it again but Sal is so lovely and helps me with what i need. She is a amazing woman! The girls at work are so kind and accepting of me and i think it will be a lot of fun.
This place is beautiful and i think a lot of healing will be done here. God is so good, everything has come together and people have been so generous!
I think i have even found a place to live and i have a car and a job so everything is working out.
Today is so cold and i made the mistake of wearing sandals to go for a walk.. I'm not sure what i was thinking! Two locals even made a little comment about my toes.. i obviously still have a lot to learn. It hasn't snowed yet! i was hoping it would but then a little worried about driving in it!
Anyway I'm off to the Laundromat and then to work. I really miss home and all of you guys. I hope you are well..
Love you all. xxx

  2. Such a good start to teh time away hey?! It is amazing to think that it has only been a week -it seems you've been gone so much longer!

Things at home in Canberra : well there has been a lot of rain in the past few days, so I have been mainly inside, doing a spring clean and cooking up a storm (lasagne, banana bread, layered jelly :) for all the Easter visits to various friends in Canberra!)

I've been booking more accommodation for my EU trip - booked a place in Vencie and Paris and am planning to book in Rome in the next day.
    :-D

I hope you're keeping track of Dave's travel blog too - it looks like they are having a spectacular time away. I'll go back to Sydney after David returns home, so hopefully we'll have a family reunion where we can call you anc all have a chat :)

    Love you XOXOXO Maz

  4. I so love reading these posts. It is so awesome to hear the freedom and anticipation in your writing. They are now a little breakfast thing I read with Jordan. The Great Canadian Adventures of Aunty Kath. So keep going, they are great!

  5. Your awe and excitement and the weird things you notice (e.g milk) remind me of when we first arrived in London - it's all so new, fun and strange.

Stu & I were in the Hunter for Easter and drove through a town of 500 people & I said to Stu "I can't believe Kath is living in a place this small!"

Your in our prayers as you settle in
    Love ya!
